I'm still under impression of English language descrapency between what is written and what is said.
When you hear the song - there are no doubts about what they say. When it is written - it is totally vague.
Here is an example - "nowhere".
What exactly is it? "no_where" or "now_here". It makes the difference how you catch it, doesn't it?

Do you know that feeling?
All your life you were justifying yourself to certain understanding of goodness and rightness.
You were wathcing on what people around were doing, how they were doing things and each moment of watching was dripping a drop of justification into the entire deposit of your concept. You were preparing yourself to the moment when it is exactly "Right Here and Right Now" necessary to make the right choice.
And the time has come.
You found yourself in the situation of someone right next to you is in need. From all your expirience and the concept gathered by those drops of justification you could say - "This is a good man which needs me to do something". So you did what you were thinking is right. It was actually the good thing to do from all your knowledge and so called "common sense".
And just imagine now. A little bit of time passed after that and you found yourself to be a complete fool as a result.
The person which you treated as someone in need appeared to be just perfectly pretending to be as such. It happened to be the "efficient use" situation rather then actual help.

And then you see yourself thinking - what is it? Does it mean that all entire concept built thru all the years drop by drop is ENTIRELY WRONG? May be there is no such thing as goodness whatsoever? May be all the words like "charity", "honesty", "good will" and such are just for idiots and fools like yourself?

Shell we sacrifice our best feelings for the sake of scams who are doing their best to feed on our willing to help good people in need?
