Big Roman Religious Speculation
Feb. 20th, 2011 04:13 pmThere is a one big big lie in Romans interpretation of Christianity. Funniest thing about it is that it is all in the idea of God. Why is that funny and what is the problem at all? What's wrong with the God and Romans and what does it all have to do with Christianity?
Well...
It is mainly the perversion of the idea of personal responsibility. The way it is presented by Roman version of Christianity is basically assuming that for any living soul there is always someone ELSE who is taking the final ultimate responsibility for the final outcome of all his actions, non-actions, passiveness, activeness etc. It is assumed that the person as a living soul is kind of responsible for the end result is only to certain limitation of extent. Something like - "That far it is up to me and I am responsible for the result. Beyond that it is NOT my responsibility. That is up to some other powers which are beyond my control."
In the same time it is assumed that every living soul ultimately WILL get to the final outcome of everything. It is assumed by exactly the same teaching that the person with out any chance for exception WILL face the end result of all the actions or non-actions, withdrawals, uses and abuses it happened to have during the life. This idea of final and, I can't stress it enough, inevitable responsibility on a very personal level coexist with the previous assumption of some overruling power of someone-else.
That is what I find perverted in all this Roman version of Christianity.
I do believe that every living soul will inevitably face the end result situation in its existence, yes. I do also believe that the very word responsibility in this situation means exactly that. There is NO overrule super-power is going to matter at that point just as it does not matter now. If you have some boiled water spilled on your lap - you inevitably got response for it. That IS your responsibility for the result of your actions, non-actions, miss-actions, co-action, passiveness, activeness, whatever-else-ness. You can of course in many circumstances fins SOMEONE-ELSE to blame for that unfortunate experience you are having. That is true. You can. For a while...
At the end though, as I strongly believe there aren't going to be one. That is what needs to be somehow resolved and finally understood.
We always think time to time about those very well presented to us ideas of Hell and Heaven. We told to think of them as kinds of either prise or punishment for those who were "good boys" or "bad ones". In this idea as result of it's initial perversion there are many fantasy creatures emerged. And of course - "If there must be a judgement, the just must be a judge!"
What if there ISN'T?
How can there be no judge if there is judgement? - you may be asking.
Well... We kind of calm our sanity when we touch this matter with the idea of always having someone next to us to tell our side of story, do we not? We always think that there will always be someone ELSE to listen to what we have to say, to tell us the "debrief" etc. May I ask you may be a silly question...
What if there won't be?
What if the difference between what could metaphorically be called Hell and Heaven IS
the absence of that SOMEONE ELSE?
Just imagine yourself eventually ending up all alone, just by yourself and totally and completely WITHOUT anybody else... forever... nobody to blame, nobody to plea, nobody to tell your side of story to, nobody to be debriefed by. All the entire existence just for your own self.
Imagine that.
What would you do TODAY if you knew for absolutely certainly sure that this is how it is going to end up being for YOU personally?
Would you STILL rely on having that someone ELSE to take some of responsibility for you?
But of course you don't have to. Right? You don't have to. You can still afford to relax and think that "Boo-hoo, what's a big deal!?"
So what do you think? Are you going to finally have the whole entire weight of all the outcome to yourself or you are counting on having it shared with someone ELSE?
